the Ring (リングはじゃないですね) was a good movie to watch, but the writing is a little loose, and the ending was indeed sucky. Now I need to see Ringu, and contrast. The website remains entertaining, and you can ferret little nuggests of backstory out of it with patience. Secretary was worth watching again, although it didn't affect me as deeply as the first run through (probablly a good thing, that). Still a great movie.
And after that, High Art. It was a good movie, but I can't help but think I missed a lot. Despite that it is an interesting drama about the lives of some young people, not all of whom are sloppy drug addicts. The ending is really harsh.
Oh, and OKCupid, the project of some demented Ivy League math majors, determined that I am: The Boy Next Door, Random Gentle Love Dreamer (RGLDm) Which is probably off by a good bit. In their favour, their clarifying questions (after you log in) are overall better than those on the quiz, and their math, as outlined in the FAQs, seems sound. Unfortunately their whole system rests on two shaky premises (that you know what you want, and that you don't lie). Anyway, link: http://devel.okcupid.com/
Also, the project of enforced socialization has so far led to me meeting and hanging out with a few new people, who are all married. Bother.
