Er.. Let me come back to that one. *answers other questions* Hmmm .. I'm not getting anything. Jokes grow tired with time, although an old joke (eg a classic sketch) brought back out can be funny. I suppose there are things that make me happy in the doing, but I can't think of anything that makes me smile upon contemplating it. I guess you'll have to either clarify, or list a bunch of things to try.
2. except for a quick excursion to young harris, you've lived in the same house for as long as i've known you. have you considered living elsewhere? why and where?
Well, actually three such short excursions, plus numerous incidents of inhabiting other peoples couches for days at a time. Considered it frequently, but I haven't had the resources. (Example: If the job in Nov had lasted even another month, I'd have moved into jew_manor, rather than just being there a fair bit.) Every winter for the last few, I've plotted leaving, on foot if need be. I've the same plan this season. As to where, it doesn't matter much. London was interesting, Paris beautiful, and I haven't been west of the Mississippi. Which is to say that there are plenty of places on Earth I've never been to, and even a few to which I'd go back.
3. do you believe in an afterlife? why or why not?
No. I try not to believe in anything. Closest to afterlife I get is reincarnation, but I don't actually believe in it either. I'm a harsh rationalist, and I try not to make use of ideas I can't, er, un-scientific ideas, those which cannot be disproven. Although there are some convincing arguments that this realm is [a] Hell...
4. it took you an ungodly amount of time to get the post-high-school education that you've achieved so far. if given the chance, would you change how you've gone about it? why or why not? if yes, what would you change?
It'd be nice if any of it was worth a damn, or if I'd learned anything. I got a little better at it after the first five years or so, or so the record shows, anyway. It'd have been much better for me if I'd had a better idea for something to do coming out of high school. Of course I'd still benefit from that idea. so if you see it ..
5. have you forgiven me for stuffing leaves down the back of your shirt in the sixth grade yet?
I guess so. I can't recall the incident (although you have told me the story somewhat more recently than that). Elementary school was pretty harsh socially, and yet somehow did not prepare me for how much worse middle school was going to be. Bah. Yes, you are forgiven.
Clarifying or followup questions welcome, and not just from the instigator (lafemmedesfemme).
Meme fine print:

3 - You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 - You'll include this explanation.
5 - You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed
